Percent Communication I work as a nurse assistant at a hospital. My work requires me to communicate with patients, co-workers, and sometimes with the family members of the patient. Even though every day is different,the percentage of communication at work must be at least 85 percent of many types of communication. 2. Percent Time I believe that most of my day I spend it in both dyadic and intrapersonal communication. Every day of the week varies for me. For example, Mondays and Wednesdays I spent about 10 percent communicating in small groups, which are my classes with the instructors and classmates. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, I spend about 75 percent of dyadic communication at work and at home. As stated before, at work I need to communicate with a patient, later I need to communicate with his/her nurse to give an assessment report. At home, I need use dyadic communication with my husband as well as my 2 kids. Last but not least, I spend about 25 percent in intrapersonal communication, which is the time that I use to talk to myself to bring my ideas to consciousness and to find solutions to many problems. 3. Percent Satisfying I also believe that most of my communication percentage is about satisfying social, physical, and practical needs.
