It was said that Alan asked Brown if she was†up for any action.†Brown agreed and said yes. Alan took Brown to his house. Brown stated that she felt uncomfortable and feared for her life. This led her to shoot Allen in the back of the head (Allyn, 2021). Prosecutors argued that Brown killed Allen while he was sleeping so she could rob him. Brown was found guilty of robbery and murder. She was sentenced to life in prison. In 2017 her case was renewed. Her sentence was then commuted to 15 years and she was released from prison on August 7, 2019 (Allyn, 2021). At the time of the murder Cyntonia at the age of 16 was a victim of sex trafficking. She stayed with the man she referred to as cutthroat. He was her pimp. He ordered her to make some money that night and that is when she encountered Mr. Allen. Cutthroat forced Cyntonia into prostitution. He was physically and sexually abusive towards her. She encountered many rapes and assaults by the age of 16. Sometimes she was under the influence of drugs (Allyn, 2021).
