PHI_105_Critical_Thinking_Reflection_Completion.docx PHI-105 Critical Thinking Reflection Critical thinking is a term that many people may not quite fully grasp its intended meaning. The human mind is fascinating, to say the least. Humans can think, reason, make decisions, good or bad, and feel different emotions like love, hate, and empathy. Imagine a thousand super computers and the many millions of tasks they help humans do. A human being™s brain is more powerful than those thousand super computers (Abitheira, n.d.). There are over 300 million people in the United States and the human brain can memorize each one of those people™s phone numbers. It is safe to say that nobody has ever memorized all the phone numbers in the United States, but that is just an example of how powerful the human brain is. Critical thinking is another example of how we can use our brains to make fact-based decisions that can help to solve problems. We use our brain to research, fact find, theorize, hypothesize, and make logical decisions. To think critically, one must not think with emotion but make sound judgments based on facts. One part of critical thinking that is crucial to fact finding or research is asking questions. If a commercial comes on television telling consumers to purchase a certain kind of diet soda, it is up to that consumer to ask why they should purchase that particular brand of soda. In other words, the consumer would be asking for a justification for purchasing that brand of diet soda (Bowell & Kemp, 2002).Critical think. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .
