CCMH 548 week 2 .docx CCMH/548 Case Conceptualization CCMH/548 Case Conceptualization Sam is a 10-year-old male child facing multiple behavioral challenges that started in preschool to the present time. Sam faces many emotional, behavioral, and environmental issues that led to Sam being diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, conduct disorder, and pervasive disorder not otherwise classified. Sam is referred to us due to his violent outburst and rage; this maladaptive behavior has led to many school suspensions and some behavioral challenges in the home. Before Sam's referral, he is diagnosed and treated for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), conduct disorder, and pervasive developmental disorder“not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS) (Rote, J. A., & Dunstan, D. A. 2011). However, with the past interventions, Sam's family struggles with his anger and outburst in the home. At school, Sam's behavior has increased over the years, especially at school. Sam continues to struggle with social communication with his peers and teachers; he also struggles with paying attention, making friends, controlling his emotions, and labeling those emotions. According to the DSM -V Sam does not meet the criteria for Disruptive behavior disorder; however, he does meet the criteria for the subtype of conduct disorder along with oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) (American Psychiatric Association,. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .
