Culminating_Project__Social_Media_Integration_Plan.docx Culminating Project: Social Media Integration Plan TECH 519 Using Social Media in the Classroom University of Phoenix I chose to use Wordpress because I really like and enjoy the feel of the site and its overall appearance compared to Wikispaces. Â I have used both of the sites briefly, but I really like all the extras Wordpress provides, such as the plug-ins, widgets, themes and the way you can make pages and also have a running blog that is separate to those pages. Â Another nice feature is the preview button that allows you to see what a post or webpage would look like without actually posting it. Â The overall appearance, as I mentioned above, is just more modern looking that most sites with is capacity. It is fairly simple to navigate however, it took me some time to create and on to the site, but Google was very helpful when trying to add pages and widgets like the last day of school count down. Â The other aspect that is actually still bothering me is that I cannot embed my Educreation videos or my google form. Â I have worked and researched tirelessly to find a way to embed those links to no avail. Â I think I may need a paid version of the site to be able to embed both the videos and form. I was fairly excited about using this site with my class to make the volume unit a flipped classroom unit. Â I want to add a two more lessons and then a couple student centered tasks to anchor the unit.
