We know that hospital workers must practice good hand hygiene before and after patient cares. This study was used to determine whether the convenience and accessibility of hand sanitizer dispensers in a hospital setting increased compliance with their use. Review of the Literature The authors reviewed the established guidelines of the World Health Organization s(WHO) on hand hygiene in hospitals. The author also used a total of 33 references all focusing on hand hygiene. The author indicated that the research literature reviewed focused on studying noncompliance with hand hygiene and on developing interventions to improve compliance. (Laila Cure, 2015) Discussion of Methodology According to the author, the study took place in a 404-bed, private, nonprofit community hospital in the Midwest.
