There is no mention of prior knowledge that the students are building on, and no mention of new information. From the lesson plan, the teacher explains the concept of the activity, but there is no demonstration or modeling introduced. As for guided practice, there isnt any written in the plan. The entirety of this lesson plan is independent practice as it is an individual focused game. The assessment is the winning of the game for the “minnows†it seems, and possibly the capturing of the minnows from the “netâ€, but it ultimately isnt clear if there is an assessment. Finally, there is no culminating activity mentioned or even described in this lesson plan. Ultimately, this unmodeled lesson plan with no guided practice which describes no clear summative or formative assessment, is nothing more than a fun game to keep the children active and entertained in PE. 1.b. In any classroom setting, differentiation is important to make sure that all students are included. In this particular lesson plan, there is no mention of ELL adaptations, but this seems to be an active activity that bypasses the barriers of language. As for those that may be physically disabled, there is no differentiation present, nor is there one for the mentally disabled.
