ME2211.SelfReflection.Essay_.docx Assignment 10.1: Self Reflection: Pharmacology ME2211 Self-Reflection Throughout the course of my fall Semester term,Pharmacology was one of my courses and I must say; I have gained a lot of information a great deal that would benefit my future career as a Medical Administrative Assistant. However, I did not even think I would pass this class and that it would be too hard for me to master. With some given time and perseverance, I have come to find that it was not hard at all!The purpose of this class is the study of how a drug affects a Biological / Metabolic system and how the body responds to the drug in terms of Side Effects and other Cautions.Pharmacology is also responsible for painkillers, caffeine drinks and antibiotics. It is the science of what is happening to your body and to the drug itself. Also coming to terms with certaindisciplines, chemical properties, biological effects and therapeutic uses of drugs. These effects can be aneveryday occurrence or toxic, depending on many factors. Especially with the Elderly, you never know what can happen! The drugs do not just affect the Physical, it can also affect the Mental and Psychological inhibiting the Receptors in the Brain can cause a worse Chemical Imbalance. Everything you put in your body basically has consequences. What I was most interested in is the overall Benefits of how a Medication can benefit the overall Health Condition.
