Team Dynamics Summary.docx Team Dynamics Summary SOC/110 Team Dynamics Summary There are several factors that influence a team™s dynamics. These include cohesiveness, communication, groupthink, stability, role identity, and team size. Cohesiveness to me is the main factor, without this a team wouldn™t have the ability to work together, or if any members would like each other. Without cohesiveness on a team dynamic there wouldn™t be much trust or commitment to the team. I believe if you have a cohesive team then you have a motivated team. Then the next step is communication, I believe that if a team is going to be successful at reaching their goals, then the members of that team needs to have great communication skills. If a team has this then they will be able to communicate with each other comfortably. Following cohesiveness and communication is groupthink, in groupthink there must be leaders and also, followers in order to make sure certain decisions can be made in the group. Groupthink helps to determine how many dominate personalities, or how many followers you have on your team. Following groupthink is stability, stability plays a large part with the success of the team. Contributing factors to the stability of a group is communication, cohesiveness and role identity, stability also involves levels of trust that the team members can have amongst themselves.
