HLT-205 Interview Analysis HLT-205 Interview Analysis For my interview analysis I chose to speak to speak to a member of the respiratory care profession who has been working in the field for over 25 years. Her name is Debbie. I chose to speak to her about what she has seen in the hospital setting. She works in a 300-bed hospital in downtown Fort Worth, TX called Plaza Medical Center. Working with patients this closely and experiencing the changes first hand brings about a mix of emotions. Hopefully when all is said and done and the changes are in place these changes will be positive and will benefit the entire nation. In 2010 the Affordable Health Care Act began making its changes. The new Patients Bill of Rights went into effect that protected U.S. healthcare consumers from the worst misuses of the insurance companies. Also free preventative services for many Americans began to take effect. Debbie experienced this through her employer paid insurance. Womans preventative care visits and preventative screening were free for her and her daughter which was still under her insurance and is now able to remain under her insurance until the age of 26. Also in 2010 $15 billion was invested in the Prevention and Public Health Fund. Plaza medical provides bariatric services and as a respiratory therapist, Debbie was directly involved in the smoking cessation and education side of trying to prevent disease and illness.
