dressing_professionally.docx CS204M1 MAINTAINING A PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE Part 1: View and Analysis Upon reviewing all the different occupational slides, I found them to be professionally dressed based on their respective industry. However, since the standards for professional attire varies from industry to industry and culture depending on the location, it is difficult to determine if this would be correct or not. I chose to analyze the Psychology and Human Services slides. In slide number one they the Psychologist appears very relaxed and casual in her attire. The patient is in a flannel buttoned down blouse and the doctor is also wearing a similar buttoned down shirt. She is not wearing any make-up or jewelry. Her demeanor is one of concern as she reaches out to comfort her client that is in obvious distress. Slide number two its clear that we arelooking at a patient in a psychologist office. The patient is laying on the couch, and the doctor is sitting at the edge taking notes. He is properly dressed, however he is way too close to the patient. I believe that he should be in his own chair listening and assessing in order to remain professional. Each person had on dress pants or skirt, nice dress shirts or blouses, some had a tie. I noticed that even on what appeared to be a casual day there were no jeans worn. In reviewing the medical profession and law enforcement slides, they looked to be professional as well. Slide number three seems to be a casual group setting.
