IT332_Unit__2_Assignment.docx IT-332 IT332-01 Principles of Information Systems Architecture Purdue University Global My company name is Tinos construction it is a small organization with 100 employees. The current IT setup is very well overdue and needs to be upgraded very soon. The requirement for the growth of this company requires a secure, manageable effective system. The three types of computer system architectures are peer-to-peer, client/server, and Web-based. I will talk about all three system architectures and their difference. Peer-to-peer architecture focuses on the users connectivity between each user where each can request information and respond to the request. A peer-to-peer is two or more PCs that share files and access to a device such as printers without requiring a separate server computer or server software. They are privileged applications that are partitions tasks between workloads and peers. In a peer-to-peer network its no differentiation between clients and servers. A peer-to-peer network can be a permanent infrastructure that is linked to half a dozen computers in a small office[ CITATION Jam02 \l 1033 ]. Client/server is a computing model in which the server host, delivers, and manages most of its resources and services consumed by the client. Client/server has one or more client computers connected to a central server over a network or internet connection. This is also known as a networking computing model or client/server network.
