CJ 675 Module_1_Journal_Final.doc CJ-675-Q2026 Data-Driven Decisions in CJ 20TW2 Module 1 Journal In the world we live in today, distrust, attacks, or merely pure hate towards the law enforcement community has continued to rise due to high-profile cases around the United States. Such cases have fueled civil unrest in many American cities, unlike what we have seen in decades. Moreover, although we should take seriously every complaint presented to us by the community, we must investigate it to make sure that it is not fuel by personal vendetta/dislike for law enforcement but somewhat actionable instances of police misconduct. When considering the best course of action to solve an issue affecting the community, the most crucial step would be to identify and fully understand the problem. In such a situation, coming to an understanding of why we have seen an increase in community complaints against law enforcement agencies will be imperative to resolve and mitigate the community's issues. Regardless of the type of complaint, all allegations should be thoroughly investigated. That investigation will involve conducting proper Quantitative and Qualitative Research that would produce meaningful data, to resolve the issues in question”as part of the investigation, asking targeted/narrow questions [Quantitative Research], apart from "the process of collecting and analyzing numerical data" (Bhandari, 2020). Doing so will give the investigative body physical data to analyze the issues from an analytical perspective. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
