Introduction
People management can be a really tricky task. Leading and managing people, along
with offering them the right training and development methods, is not an easy job. Measuring
the performance using the right methods and managing the talent of numerous employees can
get overwhelming. In this study, many such topics with respect to Nissan would be discussed.
This would help in assessing the true position of the company in the situation so that suitable
solutions can be recommended for the betterment of the organisation (Cappelli and Tavis,
2016(. This would be based on the various external factors that have an influence on the
working of Nissan and the way the right methods can be put into action which can turn the
table around for the company and the employees working in it.
Brief about the company
Nissan Motor Company Ltd is a multinational automobile company founded in 1933 with its
headquarter at Yokohama, Japan. The present chairman of the organisation is Yashushi
Kimura who commands the majority of the decision of the company. As of 2020, there are
around 136134 employees working at Nissan. The major product offering of Nissan includes
automobiles, luxury vehicles, commercial vehicles among the most popular products. The
organisation has grown over the years because of its leadership and the support of the
management. A lot of factors have contributed towards it, which would be discussed in the
coming section.
The operational context consists of all the factors that have an impact on the working of
Nissan. These are the numerous external factors which influence the management and people
working in the organisation. One of them is the social changes and technological
advancement that occurs in the field of work of the company (Toma and Marinescu, 2013).
This requires the leaders to change the way they manage and motivate the people along with
