Automatic Incubator on Arduino UNO Name: Course Code and Name: Date:Abstract The neonatal incubator has been highly and equipped well modelled and developed through the incorporation of surrounde ... d humidity and temperature system controller. The system has got two compartment chambers that is the larger and smaller. The smaller compartment consists of the humidity and temperature controlling units while the larger compartment is made up of a mattress where the eggs are placed[Bur00]. Accordingly the control system components have been equipped with relatively sensitive sensors, bulbs, funs, heater and the Arduino Uno microcontroller. Moreover, for the systems implementation a software has been put in place to ensure the well-functioning of the system. The software program used has been developed in C programming language and it comprise of a code editor. For the matter of clarification of its functioning a flowcharts has been readily availed to provide logical illustrations on the expression of the program. However, the silent structures of this kind of model is that it is exclusively micro-controlled based, and as a result of this fact it can therefore be locally developed at favorably lower costs even though it is a more sophisticated version of a conventional kind of incubator system. According to the functionality of the system is has been found to be quite effective in terms of both temperature and humidity regulation. The system is able to regulate the temperature at a desired level of 360 C to 370 C and the relative humidity at the set level of 73%. On top of that the incubator is free of the health vulnerabilities[Eme03]. The incubator may be commercially used for commercial services by business corporations or may be individually serve the specific needs of poultry farmer for their own unique reasons.CHAPTER ONE Table of Contents CHAPTER ONE............................................................................................................................3 1.0 INTRODUCTION...................................................................................................................4 1.1 Background..........................................................................................................................4 1.2 Objectives.............................................................................................................................71.3 Research Aim....................................................................................................................7 CHAPTER TWO...........................................................................................................................8 2.0 Literature Review................................................................................................................8 2.1 Introduction..........................................................................................................................8 2.2 Embryonic development.....................................................................................................9 2.3 Egg Incubator.......................................................................................................................9 2.4 Condition for incubation...................................................................................................10 CHAPTER THREE.....................................................................................................................11 3.0 Research Methodology......................................................................................................11 3.2 Project development..........................................................................................................13 3.2.1 Incubator casing..........................................................................................................16 3.2.2 An Egg Roller..............................................................................................................16 3.2.3 Master controller circuit............................................................................................17 3.2.4 Liquid crystal display.................................................................................................18 3.3 Time schedule.....................................................................................................................18 CHAPTER FOUR.......................................................................................................................20 4.0 Results and Analysis..........................................................................................................20 4.1 Cost......................................................................................................................................20 4.2 Analysis...............................................................................................................................21 CHAPTER FIVE.........................................................................................................................23 5.0 Conclusion and Recommendation....................................................................................23 5.1 Recommendation...............................................................................................................23 5.2 Conclusion..........................................................................................................................23 5.3 Appendices..........................................................................................................................25 1.0 INTRODUCTION 1.1 BackgroundArduino UNO incubator is a device that provides the required humidity and warmth necessary for the hatching of the eggs all at a controlled environment in any particular region of the globe. The incubator provides a conducive required conditions for the hatch of eggs, through the provision of a homogeneous and stable temperature and relative humidity level necessary hatching egg conditions[Lew15].
