It is a biographical film based on the life of Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th reincarnation of the Dalai Lama in the year 1997. The film was shot in Nepal and the Northern side of the Indian border, but the actual setting is created as in Tibet. The theme of this film is a narration of the Dalai Lamas childhood life along with a depiction of the Chinese invasion in Tibet in 1949. I chose this film because Tibet is where I belong, the nation that my ancestors have lived in, and the Dalai Lama is who I worship. This film shows the rich essence of the culture and spiritual components of Tibet.
