I have had many friends and family members that have moved to Florida from different states to look for better employment with better pay, the low housing costs as well having no state income tax. In July of 2019 Florida had an estimated population of 21,477,737 people within the state (Florida population 2021, n.d.). In 2020 Florida saw a 1.25% growth rate. Back in 2016 the population for the state of Florida was 20.61 million and now in the current year the population is 21.94 million. Over the years there has been an increase within the population of our state due to the gain in residents moving to Florida.
