Within this meeting, there were three key points that our client, Nasaquil wanted covered: Reduction in severity and duration of symptoms Supported through clinical trials Reduction in wait time – due to no prescription required When discussing the reduction in severity and duration, the presenter highlighted the average duration of influenza was generally 7-10 days, however with treatment with Nasaquil it reduced symptoms to 3-5 days. Additionally, overall severity of symptoms was reduced (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. were mentioned). When discussing the clinical trial data, Nasaquil wanted to ensure that proper information was being shared – small sample population size and no long-term efficacy rates have been determined yet due to Nasaquil being newly released. Lastly, the reduction of wait time as it pertains to obtaining a prescription. Nasaquil wanted to highlight this medication is available Over-The-Counter and does not require scheduling an appointment with the patients Primary care physician – which could delay treatment by a few days.
