To complete a full assessment there are several categories of questions that can be asked. Based on the results of the interview a care plan can be established. As a source of information for this paper a family of three was interviewed. Health Assessment There are three members of this family that were interviewed, the husband, the wife and the son. The son is 9 years old and comes from husbands previous marriage. He lives primarily with his mother and only weekends with his father. They are white Caucasian family of an Italian origin. This family lives in Sacramento, California. The husband and wife are married for 6 years. Values/Health Promotion Good mental and emotional health is important to the entire family. They also want to be in good physical shape. At the same time, they feel that want to provide enough funds for what they need, some funds for what they want and also for some entertainment. All family members have a body weight problem. The husband was diagnosed with diabetes. Because of his health condition they started watching the quantity and the quality of their food intake. He makes sure that he checks his blood sugar and takes prescribed medication. They recently abandoned eating at the restaurants, and they try to cook meals at home.
