To many, it is where we learn the basics, from manners to mannerisms and our health habits or lack thereof. Therefore, we often go back to a patient™s family structure and dynamic for thorough assessments and plan of care to help in the patient™s long term and overall health throughout their lives. McPherson Family Interview Using Gordon™s 11 functional health patterns and family-based questions, assessments were made to it help assist in developing nursing diagnosis and interventions of family behaviors. œEleven patterns allow for organization of information of the current health and health management of the family (Green, 2018). These questions helped open dialogue with the family and with the data collection of this family (Functional Health Patters, 2013). Due to the sensitive nature of some of these questions, specific names will not be mentioned. I have known the Mcpherson™s for 19 years.
