Communicable_Disease_Article.docx Communicable Disease Article HCS/437 Communicable Disease Article Introduction When it comes to communicable diseases in my community there are several differe... nt ones. The one that we are going to discuss is HIV/AIDS. HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus and AIDS stands for Acquired Immunodeficiency syndrome. The HIV infection initially came from Central Africa when hunters came in contract with Chimpanzees blood from hunting them for meant. The virus began to spread in the late eighteen hundred and t made its way to the United States in the late nineteen seventies. In my community our state is the sixth state out of sixteen for the highest rate of infection. During this newsletter we will discuss what this disease is and how it can be controlled. We are also going to talk about the environmental factors that are related to this disease, the influence this has on the socioeconomic, the lifestyle and the management of this disease. We will also touch on the gaps and how you can connect to other resources to meet the needs that are not locally available. We will give recommendations that will be used to expand the community programs to the gaps. The final two things that we will talk about are what the public health is doing to reduce the threat and what the data findings, evidence-based interventions and what the plan is to ensure quality health.
