As this is part of the employer-employee agreement upon being hired, an employee does not have the right to stop the employer from dismissing them if they fail to do this. ï‚·Employees have the responsibility to act in the best interest of their employer at all time during work, and to not work against them otherwise or in situations that involve a conflict of interest. It would be considered unfair if an employer worked against an employee behind his/her back, and likewise, it would be the same in reverse. Ethically, an employee is an agent of the company and should not act in ways that could cause it harm. ï‚·Employees have the right not to be subject to sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is illegal and is a devious use of an employers power over an employee. It is detrimental to a work environment and the well-being of the victim. A2. Employers Ethical Responsibilities ï‚·Employers have the responsibility to pay the agreed-upon wages to the employee.
