There are many attributes that make up a successful team. I believe communication is the most important aspect of a highly effective team. Other components are accountability, a team of self-starters, and team players. Each member of the team must understand their individual contributions aid towards the success of the overall team. When this is understood and the team members are motivated to get the work done, success is inevitable. Throughout this discussion we will focus on a specific team that performed at a high level, the steps the team took to ensure high performance, evaluating if using any of the strategies discussed in this week™s reading could have helped improve the team™s performance and discuss a team experience where the team performed poorly and strategies they could have used to improve.
