u09a1 Diagnostic Skill Application.doc COUN5107 Unit 9: Diagnostic Skill Application II COUN5107: Principles of Psychopathology Unit and Assignment Title This assignment will be used to complete a diagnostic analysis on Julio, Kimi, and Daneer. The presenting concerns and relevant history of each client will be described in detail. An explanation of the appropriate diagnosis for each client will be provided based on the information and symptoms exhibited by the client. Also, the appropriate Z-Codes associated with each diagnosis will be given. Lastly, the possibilities of medical consultations will be discussed along with supporting indications and/or contraindications on why the medical consultation is or is not needed. Presenting Concerns: Case of Kimi Kimi is a 48 year old career driven woman. She has been married to her husband Robert for the past 16 years. She and Robert share no children together. That is particularly because Kimi wishes not to have children because she does not want to alter her career goals. Kimi also did not want to sabotage her body for the sake of children. Because of her lack of desire to bare children, Robert has decided to divorce Kimi and move on with a woman much younger than her. Kimis concerns for maintaining her body comes along with an eating disorder. She initially became aware of her eating disorder in high school when she began to overanalyze the way her body looked in her dance team uniform.
