In fact, Ohio is the 9th worst state for keeping our infants alive, with our own Montgomery County exceeding Ohio ™s IMR rate at 7.3% (Ohio Department of Health, 2019). Action must be taken to save our most vulnerable citizens. Current policies in Ohio are not improving this social detriment of health, and thus not reducing the infant mortality rate.
