Imagine a client disclosing to their attorney about committing an abduction of a five year- old boy as well as murdering and burying him in their backyard. As the defense attorney, they cannot disclose that information because it violates the attorney-client privilege and confidentiality. So, as the defense attorney, what is the ethical way of approaching this matter? What are the limitations to the attorney-client privilege? Is the duty of confidentiality limited?
