An advantage of Cerner EHR is that it is user friendly and all needed information of the health record is organized into tabs. Each tab has a different part of the health record including medical history, lab work, and radiology images. A disadvantage of usability is that there is required downtime. This can cause the end user to delay charting into the EHR and access to vital electronic results. The advantages of Cerners interoperability are that less time is spent searching for information and as a result patient have more time with their doctor. Cerners system allows information to be shared across the board, a better picture of the patients medical history is available.
