For instance, it is great way to approach someone, who has different point of views, in writing. By using correct method, the writer can seek to make a suggestion to opposing side, and possibly seek to convince them. The persuasive writing could be used in personal, professional, and academic environment. In the personal environment, persuasive writing is used widely when people engage in discussion. With my husband and friends, I always argue about the sports in the social media. Often times, this discussion leads to why my favorite players or the teams that are better than the others persons favorite players and teams. Depending on situation, I am either assertive or passive. When I am passive, I am willing to accept other people ideas and point of view. Therefore, my writing uses more of facts, and statistics to support my reasoning and suggest that my point of view has credibility. This is my own way of employing persuasive writing in personal environment. In professional environment, I have dealt with many ways of persuasive writing. When I use to work for a company that was in the retail industry, I often got calls and emails from the freight companies we used. These companies gave their own presentation, or sales speech, to persuade our management to contact their company.
