Week 7 Assignment Of the course of these last few weeks we learned about the use and purpose of a database design as well as the different types of design that can be used. One of these different de ... signs is known as a data warehouse and it works by "being a database that is designed for a query and analysis process which draws sources from many different sources (Oracle.com, 2020)". The bases for these database warehouses are based on two designs created by Bill Inmon and Ralph Kimball. The Bill Inmon Approach This approach works by defining the data warehouse as a "unified source for a business where all the data for that business is integrated together (Abramson, 2020)". This approach works by creating data tables separately which will then combine all the data together into the one main warehouse.
