STATEMENT OF PROBLEM AND PURPOSE It has recently been brought to our attention that several unsafe practices and hazards were observed on the job site, by OSHA. As onsite supervisors have neglected to enforce the compliance of the safety regulations and procedures to provide a safe and incident free working environment. This training course will increase the skills that are needed to be meet OSHA safety and compliance regulations. The training will provide valuable knowledge and on the job training to each onsite supervisor. The training will provide valuable knowledge and insight to what is expected and what is required of the supervisor. A3. TRAINING PROGRAM OBJECTIVES The objective in the supervisor training course will be to provide adequate understanding and knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety regulations that will provide; the onsite supervisor with a degree of competency for improved performance. A4. SKILLS GAPS 1.Orientation for NEW jobsite roofing supervisors needs to include OSHA training as to ensure the supervisor knows the requirements and properly records incidents as required by OSHA. 2.The use of eye protection needs to be enforced as it is stated in the Roofing Supervisor job description but was clearly neglected; as noted on the OSHA report. 3.There is clearly a communication gap between the supervisor and subordinates, which was also mentioned in the OSHA report.
