BU_224_Unit2__1_.docx(1) BU224 International Trade and Multiculturalism Purdue Global University International Trade and Multiculturalism I was never one to look too much into international tra... de, I had never thought it affected my life. However, looking around my home I can see that almost everything in my household is not made in America, but made in foreign countries. The ten items I chose to look at were my work coat, a candle, a plastic cup, a ruler, my comforter, my throw pillow, a plate, a canvas picture of the scenery, a hat, and lastly, my dogs collar. My work coat, the plastic cup, the ruler, my comforter, my canvas picture, and my hat were all made in China. The plate was manufactured in Mexico along with the throw pillow. The candle and the dog collar were both made in America, I bought them at a local flea market where they were made from scratch by the owners of the market stand. I found that kind of shocking, I didnt realize how much of my household was brought over from across seas or borders, it was interesting. America exports a plethora of goods that many countries love to purchase! According to CNNMoney (2018) “Food, beverage, and feed: $133 billion. Soybeans were the number one product in this category, with sales of $22 billion, followed by meat and poultry at $18 billion. Crude oil, fuel, and other petroleum products: $109 billion. This is one of the fastest-growing areas of US exports, up 37% in just the last year. Civilian aircraft and aircraft engines: $99 billion.â. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
