On the other hand, the 1961 trailer of West Side Story was confusing. I personally have never watched the film. As I reviewed the trailer, it was not until almost two minutes and 15 seconds into the trailer did I get a small idea of what the movie was about. The Romeo and Juliet film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, in my opinion, destroyed the original story by modifying it using guns instead of swords and adding a modern gang. The older versions of these films overall retained a more modest façade. The newer trailer involved more violence, less modesty, and gave less of a mystery. Since observing these trailers, you can see how the times have changed how people interact, things that are deemed acceptable to view and speak publicly of, and the fashion in which entertainment is presented. For the upcoming first project of this class, I have selected King Tutankhamun™s sarcophagus as my artifact of focus. Because of my choice of artifact, I question how human culture and expression has changed in Egypt between 1323 and 2020. To answer this question, I plan to research more on how Egyptians live today and in comparison to living in Egypt in 1323.
