A proposed service line or economic initiative would be a mental health facility located within the Tri-County area. This proposal presents an economic opportunity at the micro level and macro level due to the fact that mental health has been address the top health issues identified in the Community Health Assessment and prioritized by TCHD partners, TCHD community members and TCHD staff. The proposed initiative will provide ethical and culturally equitable improvements to the quality of care by improving access to care through advocacy, policy development and implementation, alignment of quality and performance measures, improve access to care through health insurance enrollment support and health care system navigation, and decrease barriers to mental healthcare. The expected material, staffing, and capital costs of the proposed initiative over its first five years covers nurses, doctors, medical supplies and other needs.
