Hospitals need to come up with an EHR that will work well with their facility. When deciding on an EHR, the institution needs to find one that will capture, store, manage, and transmit patient data well. They also need to make sure the EHR will be secure, show productivity and help with quality assurance initiatives. The Epic system is one of the most popular EHR systems all over the world that strives to put out a good product. Advantages and Disadvantages of a HIS Some critical details about some advantages and disadvantages the Epic system has in regards to usability, interoperability, scalability, and compatibility are as such. The Epic system has the usability to be easy for the end user. End users want to have a decreased amount of clicks to get to what they need to document.
