Employees Rights and Responsibilities Employees have the ... right to fair pay in exchange for a fairs days work. There is an organizational understanding that all workers shall be compensated for the work that they perform for the company. A fair wage can be determined in many ways it can be set by the industry standard pay for similar positions. As the company is very profitable it may pay a higher wage for selected potions then its competitors in order to attract the best employees. The most common form of pay is the hourly wage, this applies to subordinate level positions and not to managers and executives. The hourly rate an employee earns can vary widely by position, industry, market rate. Select positions pay is directly tied to corporate profitability etc. The hourly wage is set by Department of Labor and can vary from state to state. It is important that employees are responsible to produce products and services at the agreed upon rate to receive their compensation. If employees are continually not producing goods and services at the expected rate or do not employer expectation the company or organization can suffer profit loss and customer dissatisfaction.
